Greenville to Kincolith Road (Archived)

British Columbia

Description: The BC Ministry of Transportation and Highways has submitted a proposal to construct a two-lane gravel road from Greenville to Kincolith, on the coast, in the central part of British Columbia. The proposed road would connect Kincolith (Gingolx), an isolated Nisga'a village, to other communities in the Nass Valley and to the provincial highway system.

Decision of the Minister of the Environment: On October 14, 1999, following a review of public comments and the environmental assessment report, the Minister concluded that the project is unlikely to cause significant adverse environmental effects and referred the project back to the responsible authorities for appropriate next steps.
