Bruce Heavy Water Plant Decommissioning (Archived)

Description: Ontario Power Generation Inc. has submitted a proposal to decommission the heavy water plant at the Bruce Power Development located at Douglas Point, near Tiverton.
Decision of the Minister of the Environment: On November 6, 2003, following a review of public comments and the environmental assessment report, the Minister concluded that the project is unlikely to cause significant adverse environmental effects and referred the project back to the responsible authority for appropriate next steps.
