November 3, 2026 — Ottawa, Ontario

Carver Mineral Resources Inc. is proposing the development, operation, and decommissioning of a marine terminal located in Lazy Head in Guysborough County, Nova Scotia. As proposed, the Lazy Head Marine Terminal Project would consist of a new marine terminal in Chedabucto Bay, that could accommodate vessels up to 48,000 deadweight tonnes and support the export of aggregate. The project is expected to operate for 85 years.

The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) invites Indigenous Peoples and the public to review the summary of the Initial Project Description and provide comments on the proposed project.

How can I participate?
