No to the extension of car infrastructure over the Ottawa River

Building more car infrastructure will only lead to more car dependency, more traffic, more pollution and less quality of life for residents.

What we need is an integrated rail system on both sides of the river that would have the capacity to transport tens of thousands of people every day. That’s the only way we’ll reduce traffic. This is what the Federal Government should shepherd between the two provinces in the National Capital Region. Cities around the world are doing it but somehow we’re still stuck in a 1970 car-centric model.
