It needs to get built.  The current bridges forces much traffic to do long detours simply to get to the other side of the river.  This bridge would help in getting trucks onto another bridge, and reduce significant detours for many Ottawa residents as they cross.  As a G7 capital is it embarassing to see endless trucks right through downtown, simply for the trucks we need this bridge!  Furthermore, the benefit of the bridge would be to finally have a highway to highway connection - it is shocking that in 2026 Ottawa still does not have this with Gatineau.  Stop with endless consultants, and simply build.  Please also name the bridge after a great Canadian, or animal.

I completely support this project.  We all have to accept that as the city grows more infrastructure is needed to grow the economy and make our lives easier.
