Jacques Cartier Bridge, Sections 1 to 9, Paving and Road Maintenance Works (2027–2029)

Longueuil, September 25th, 2026 – The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) has determined that the Jacques Cartier Bridge, Deck Milling and Paving: Bridge, Section 5 Ramps and Southern and Northern Approaches project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

Effective mitigation measures are planned for each potential environmental impact. Given its experience in carrying out comparable projects, JCCBI considers that this project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. In addition, a specialized firm will continuously monitor the work to ensure that the planned measures are implemented and respected.

As a result, JCCBI concludes that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects, and authorizes its implementation, in whole or in part.
