This proposed project requires a full environmental impact study to be conducted, including analyzing the trucking routes and impacts on both land and marine habitats. Of particular concern is any impacts on ground and drinking water. Canada or Nova Scotia does not need to rush mining projects. Our existing laws do not need to be worked around or short changed. Let the full study determine the risks and the drawbacks of this project before any decision is made on its moving ahead or not. Best way to manage our economy is to slow down and reduce government spending. Do not degrade our environment for the benefit of a few mining investor folks. We do not need more jobs since we already rely on immigration to fill existing vacant positions. I am requesting a full environmental impact study and statement be conducted on the full scope of this project. How much water will be needed for this and how much water will be polluted because of this project? Clean drinking water is a life necessity and the most important element to safeguard. Water and environmental protection must take priority, even over geopolitical noise and concerns.
