Support for the 15-Mile Processing Hub Project

Quik Iron Contracting Inc supports the 15-Mile Processing Hub project and the opportunities that the project, and mining in general, represents for rural businesses across Nova Scotia. As a locally based contractor, we recognize the important role that responsible mining can play in creating economic opportunities for communities, businesses and workers along the Eastern Shore of the province. 

Based on the documentation submitted (IPD), it is evident that considerable effort has gone into redesigning the project to avoid, minimize, and manage potential environmental effects. This demonstrates that mining can be developed responsibly when environmental stewardship is integrated into project planning from the outset and when projects are subject to rigorous regulatory oversight.

Nova Scotia needs continued investment in mining to support long-term economic growth, create well-paying jobs, and provide opportunities for businesses across the province. We believe projects such as the 15-Mile Processing Hub can help achieve these objectives.
