Poultry Farming in Northern Ghana

This Project aims to empower women (3 000) and young adults (1000) (18-35 years old) in rural cocoa-producing communities in the Ashanti and Western North regions of Ghana. This project aims to reduce gender gaps in the cocoa sector and encouraging resource flows at the community level. As part of the TogetHER project, we are to establish a 3 poultry farms some cooperatives in Western North region of Ghana.
This poultry construction initiative is part of the support provided to cocoa cooperatives selected to implement sustainable, income-generating activities. The poultry project is intended to enhance the resilience and financial capacity of these cooperatives by diversifying their income sources through climate-smart livestock production.All structures are designed to be environmentally responsible, incorporating measures to reduce water use, manage waste effectively, and minimize the risk of disease transmission.
