Construction and expansion of buildings in Houston, Texas, USA

Compass Energy Systems Inc. is requesting financing from BDC for the construction of a new building and the expansion of an existing building on its property located at 4444 Brittmoore Road, Houston, Texas, USA. The site is approximately 117,359 m² in size and is currently occupied by eight buildings totalling 24,332 m². No trees or vegetation will need to be removed. Concrete foundations will need to be added.

The total footprint of the new building and expansion will be approximately 1,672 m². Compass Energy Systems Inc. manufactures and assembles high-performance compression, process and power system packages. The new building and expansion will be used to increase its current capacity.

The new building will be used for the assembly of components for the power and natural gas compression industry. The majority of the operations will be the assembly of equipment from external manufacturers or internally completed pipe and vessels. Some on skid welding will be done but minimal, pipe fitting, electrical and instrumentation installation as well for the control systems.

The expansion will be an additional large paint booth to the existing facility, but with a free standing chimney. Required permits are under review.
