Peace River Nuclear Power Project
Peace River CANDU Reactors
- Reference Number

- Text
Nuclear power is an element of our energy infrastructure that should have been placed in Alberta long ago. Our geography supports it, we have a partner in Canada for obtaining fuel, and we should utilize Canadian technology (CANDU and SMR) moving forward.
As long as proper precautions for containing the small quantity of waste is taken, there is no reason that this project shouldn't go forward. Ideally Alberta should provide some funding in exchange for partial ownership in the reactors.
