Losing faith in NWMO

Ever since this project started I was skeptical. I took it upon myself to make myself more aware what this project was all about. I learned more.  I went to southern Ontario and visited McMaster University where they have a nuclear reactor. I went and toured the mock storage facility on the same trip as well. I've attended meeting and many information sessions as well. My opinion is a DGR is probably the best and safest way to store the used nuclear fuel bundles. All good. Here's where my issue lies, I'm seeing a lot of the jobs that were supposed to be from/housed in Ignace that are being filled with people from surrounding communities. When I approached an NWMO employee ( also not from the Ignace area) I was told that this was always a regional project. BS. We in Ignace were always told that Ignace would be the central focus for the filling of these positions, have more people moving to the community and have new businesses moving in. Other than some locals working at the Ignace office and field not much more of what we were told is happening. I along with many others I've spoken with are feeling duped by NWMO. Change my mind!!
