Concerned property owner and lack of answers.

My concern is that I live about 26 k from the proposed site . I have over 150 acres of land . I have asked what guarantee I have,  that if my property became contaminated from this project , who would be responsible for cost , clean up and loss of use of land ,as well as health issues and the costs associated with health care . I have not received an answer. According to NWMO I am out of the district it covers. It was at a radius of 5 k , although I am closer to the site than the host town of Ignace. I am downstream from the water table , I am concerned over the possibility of the water becoming contaminated as well . I purchased the property in 2021 and was for our family and future generations . We spent our life savings to get beautiful healthy property , a place we can retire and let our family carry on after us . A place that would be a good place to raise and continue a family legacy.  I would also like to understand why people in Ignace are receiving financial compensation for their willingness to host this project but the people who would be affected by this decision are not. We were not informed what we are to do about the fall of our property values. This decision has left many of us with property that we will not be able to sell due to the close proximity to a nuclear waste site. Who will compensate our losses ? I have asked these questions at several meetings they have held ... with no answers provided.

Any answers you may have would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you
