Transportation of Nuclear Waste

Text

As a lifetime resident of northern Ontario, I have deep concern surrounding the transportation of nuclear waste on our highways. These highways are proving to be becoming more and more dangerous with the increase in vehicle traffic, speed of vehicles, changing weather and changes in road maintenance. I feel that the residents, particularly directly along the travel route, must be reassured that all options for transportation have been considered and that only the highest levels of safety will be followed. These concerns are not only for the people of the North but also the land, animals and waterways. Please ease the fears of those of us living on this land by being completely transparent with all plans, considerations and reviews.
