I am in support of the DGR project as a whole.  Nuclear energy has been proven to be one of the cleanest sources of energy.  The regulations and safety protocols that are in place for dealing with nuclear energy are extremely well monitored with safety and environmental impact being at the forefront of decision making.  
The NWMO was put in place to ensure that the public was educated in what was being proposed with safe long term storage for used nuclear fuel, as well as ensuring that communities' concerned were heard.  I believe that the NWMO did a. Dry good job to ensure those goals were met.

I feel privileged that Ignace and WLON was the selected site for this Canada wide project.  As a resident of Ignace, I am hopeful that an endeavour as innovative as this will be the economical boost that my community so much needed.   There was quite of bit of hopefulness during the site selection process, and NWMO was supportive of community endeavours throughout this time.  It is my only hope that they continue to be supportive as we venture into this next phase.

This is an exciting time be be a Canadian, for sure!
