Who was consulted?

Were Indigenous bands who reside along highway 17 consulted? Considering the transport of nuclear materials poses a clear risk, who is speaking for the land and water it risks contaminating? It isn't just at the site of the burial, but on the way to it. There is so much room for error and one of the most natural, and somewhat untouched part of the province at stake. Is it worth it, for the economy? The people making this decision will die within the next 50 years, as will those benefiting from it financially, but the stakes of this project are so high that the surrounding areas will be impacted for the rest of human existence.
