It's curious that the IAAC has conveniently excised the transportation of nuclear waste over 1000's of kms of Ontario highways from the terms of its analysis. As a physical activity integral to the project, transportation is categorically an essential piece of the impact assessment!

Crashes along these highways involving transport trucks are occurring with alarmingly increasing frequency. There are already issues around the number of transports on Ontario roads, and the skills and insufficient training of their drivers. It is folly to claim that those trucks carrying nuclear waste are invulnerable to the impact and fallout of fiery crashes. The risks to humans, wildlife and the natural environment are already well-expressed in others' comments.

It's a mystery to me how an impact assessment could fail to assess the potential catastrophic impact of a road crash involving a transport of nuclear waste.  I just want to say,"How dare they?" I fear for the generations to come. They might say, "How could they?"
