Deep Geological Repository (DGR) for Canada's Used Nuclear Fuel Project

If you were to ask the average person what their primary cocern was with the proposed DGR, they would tell you that it was transporting high level nuclear waste from where it is produced to where it will be dumped. Crashes involving large trucks with loss of life and subsequent road closures are happening with alarming frequency. Look at a map of Ontario and count the number of water crossings both on highway and rail lines. Should there be a crash in a remote location, consider how long it would take remediation to arrive. Consider the population along the transportation route. They are potentially affected by thr highest degree of toxic waste at their doorstep, but are not given a voice. Transportation must be included.
