Too many conflicts of interest

This entire process up until now has been convoluted, confusing, and frankly just pathetic. There are literally hundreds of communities being effected by these decisions and this process. Why is it that that so many other facts and considerations are being ignored? Does anyone else find it a bit odd that Ignace was given a new fire truck? Does anyone really find it surprising that one single community, that is set to gain some jobs after spending decades slowly dying as town, is supporting a repository like this? Why is it that the consideration of the transportation of the spent nuclear waste is being foregone? The answer to all of these questions is money.

I can appreciate the need to have a plan with regard to the SNF but public interest and safety should come before money. The people giving approval to these entities have a duty to everyone effected, not to shareholders.

Ignace's team of volunteer firefighters, armed with a fancy new fire truck, are going to be seriously underprepared if anything were to happen over the next few millenniums....

The resources to host this project in any capacity do not exist in Northwestern Ontario. The cart has been put miles ahead of the horse in this scenario, all for the bottom line of people who will never have to deal with any of the consequences.
