Deep Geological Repository (DGR) for Canada's Used Nuclear Fuel Project
Do not invest further in nuclear fission reactors

Nuclear fission is not the answer to Canada energy future, and certainly not the answer to meeting Canada's climate obligations (Paris Agreement) and Canada's commitment to net zero by 2050.
Nuclear is significantly most costly than renewables. It is extremely slow to bring on-line, so it cannot replace fossil fuels in time to avert climate catastrophe. It is also dirty: polution is created throughout iits lifecycle, and it potentially contributes to nuclear proliferation.
I can appreciate that the Deep Geological Repository project is trying to solve the huge problem of nuclear waste management from existing nuclear fission reactors, but do not invest further in nuclear by building more reactors (or encouraging the building of more reactors by investing too much into DGR).
