Deep Geological Repository (DGR) for Canada's Used Nuclear Fuel Project
Referrendum

Hello. I would like to see the Province of Ontario hold a special referrendum on the approval or disapproval of the transporting of the nuclear waste along the Trans Canada Highway, especially since there will be a ridiculous distance the waste would be travelling every day.
Every citizen of Ontario should have the right to vote on this issue. The waste will be passing by forests, lakes, rivers, communities and cities. This will be affecting our lives and our grandchildren's lives for decades to come. This referrendum should be conducted with transparency and NWMO should NOT be conducting the referrendum as they are prejudiced and will have the money to affect the voting.
I would trust a panel made up of the Association "We, the Nuclear Free North" , Canadian environmentalists and scientists to conduct the wording and carrying out of the actual referrendum, as well as supervising the final outcome of the referrendum.
Ontario citizens along the Trans Canada route have the right to be informed, and have the right to a say in such an important issue.
As it was, the so few people of the town of Ignace should not have had the right over the citizens of Ontario's vast NorthWest to have the only say about where a nuclear waste site should be located. That important issue should have been put to a vote for all people of Ontario.
Thank you for the chance to comment.
