Notice of time limit resumption

Ottawa — October 20, 2026 — On October 1, 2026, Agnico Eagle Mines Limited (the proponent) provided its project changes document and its response to the summary of issues (in French only) for the Marban Gold Mine Project to the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC). On October 8, 2026, IAAC determined that this document contains sufficient information to inform its section 16 decision regarding whether an impact assessment is required. The proponent thereby completed the activity for which it requested that the time limit be suspended on February 6, 2023. The 180-day time limit has resumed as of October 1, 2026.

The 180-day time limit is the period within which IAAC must provide the proponent with a notice of the commencement of the impact assessment, if IAAC decides that an impact assessment of the project is required.
