Hello my name is Eugene Loughran.I have a major issue with this new expansion. Not only do I live fairly close to this expansion I have had an experience with these underground caverns that I will share with the agency.Does anyone actually know how many of these caverns there are? I doubt it.Your agency may have that information.I worked at <sensitive information removed> for probably 6 months. They have probably 6 or 7 caverns. These caverns are filled with propane and other explosive gases. These cavern are enormous as it takes 3 years for a rig to (build them). One day the plant was shaking and I mean shaking. We were ordered to evacuate and the operators were sent to the bomb shelter to do whatever. We were about one mile away.If the plant exploded and ruptured one of those caverns it would have been a catastrophic event. To empty a cavern the train would a stretch 20 miles long. The engineer told me the shock wave would reach Calgary.I was (safe) one mile away. That was how close I came to leaving this planet. We drive by these plants unknowingly every day and more of these caverns are making our world less safe. These caverns are everywhere including <sensitive information removed> and if you know what is in those caverns you would be shocked.I have worked construction for 45 years and have seen many things In my lifetime. My main issue with the cavern is that any explosion on the ground will and could take out the safety cap and the gas could be released and likewise explode.I seen the 200 tower at <sensitive information removed> Wobble and shake not knowing what could happen. The operators were with us.Only a few could sit in the bomb shelter. This is an accurate account of a real incident that did happen and there were 6 caverns full of various gases. The shock wave would reach Calgary. The engineer,s word. That is all I have to say.Eugene Loughran
