The industry association SIGTTO advises a 3500m buffer zone around tankers and terminals for safety reasons. The Tilbury project and shipping routes don't meet that standard and are directly across the river from a large jet fuel tank farm.
This is an incredibly dangerous project that DOES NOT have public support and was opposed by Richmond's council on May 8, 2020.
