Beaver Dam Proposed Mine

To whom it may concern:

I am against the proposed gold mine known as Beaver Dam. I know this area very well as a naturalist and landscape painter. This location is full of rich wetlands and rivers that flow into and through many watersheds before reaching the Atlantic Ocean.

I have seen the Beaver Dam area change over the past two years. To me it looks like there are already site preparations for a mine already in place.

These rich wetlands are full of tropical bird migrants, some of them endangered and there is a remnant mainland moose population not far from the site to the East. I am sure there would also be a serious threat to aquatic life including brook trout and salmon further down stream.

I believe the risk of such any mine in or near this location is not worth it to the landscape, the wildlife or the people living nearby further downstream.

Yours Truly
