From Carmen Kusiek to the Joint Review Panel re: Comments on the Grassy Mountain Coal Project

Hello,

I would like to express my strong opposition to the coal mining in the Eastern Slopes of Alberta. My main concern is the contamination of selenium in the drinking water from the coal mining that is currently happening in B.C. Which is now making its way downstream into the United States.

The Alberta government is not listening to the strong opposition in this concern. I am worried that this coal mining will have a negative permanent impact on the environment. The Canadian government has taken a commendable stance to be mindful of environmental impacts, and I encourage you to do the same.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best regards,

Carmen Kusiek
