From Chris Korol to the Joint Review Panel re: Comments on the Grassy Mountain Coal Project

Hi,
I am writing to urge you to reject the Grassy Mountain Coal project and any other coal mines in Alberta's southern Rocky Mountains. This project and others in the region must not proceed for the following reasons:

- they will result in significant carbon emissions;
- they will put drinking water quantity and quality at risk; and
- they will seriously impact federally threatened trout populations.

I also have serious concerns about the long term economic impacts of this project, especially as it pertains to reclamation, remediation and water treatment costs.
