Rejection of the Roberts Bank Terminal 2 Project

Text

I reject the project proposal to move forward with the Roberts Bank Terminal 2 Project. The adverse effects this project would have on salmon habitat would be irreversible and a large contributor to the loss of already declining salmon populations. Providing habitat offsetting does nothing to alleviate the impact that this project would have on salmon. If the government of Canada is serious about protecting our fish stocks they would follow their own legislation like the Species at Risk Act and the Fisheries Act by not degrading salmon habitat. I would hope the Federal Government would listen to the fisheries scientists who have repeated these concerns time and time again and reject to notion to move forward with this project.
