Terms of Use

Introduction

The Terms of Use govern the access to and use of the Canadian Impact Assessment Registry’s (the Registry) online commenting platform. By accessing or using the Registry, users agree to be bound by these terms. Users are solely responsible for the information they submit through the online commenting tool.

Authentication

To access to the Registry’s online commenting tool users must provide a valid email address, which will be verified to ensure the integrity and security of the platform. Email addresses will be securely stored within the Agency’s protected database used solely for the verification of user identity, and contacting users regarding their submitted comments, if necessary.

When submitting comments, users are required to provide their full name, email address (for verification purposes) and organization name (if applicable).

The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) is committed to protecting user privacy and maintaining the security of personal information.

Suspension and termination of use

The Government of Canada is committed to maintaining a respectful and secure online environment that values the diverse needs of Canadians and abides by all applicable federal legislation. IAAC may suspend and/or terminate a user’s access to the Registry under the following circumstances:

Amendments

The Agency reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. When changes occur, users will be automatically prompted to review and accept updated terms. Modifications become effective immediately upon posting to the Registry. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
