KSM (Kerr-Sulphurets-Mitchell) Project – Federal Funding Awarded to Participate in the Environmental Assessment

OTTAWA – September 21, 2010 – The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency has awarded $6,550 to K.T. Industrial Development Society to support its participation in the federal environmental assessment of the proposed KSM (Kerr-Sulphurets-Mitchell) Project, in British Columbia.

This funding is awarded through the Agency's Participant Funding Program to assist the recipient's participation in upcoming steps in the comprehensive study process, including the review of the comprehensive study report.

A funding review committee, independent of the environmental assessment process, was established to examine the requests for funding for this project. The committee's report, along with further information on the project, is available on the Agency's website, in the Canadian Environmental Assessment Registry, under reference number 09-03-49262.

Seabridge Gold Inc. proposes to develop a copper, gold and silver deposit located approximately 65 km northwest of Stewart, British Columbia. The KSM project would be expected to process between 100,000 to 120,000 tonnes per day of ore over a mine life of at least 30 years.

The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency administers the federal environmental assessment process, which identifies the environmental effects of proposed projects and measures to address those effects, in support of sustainable development.
