Wasauksing First Nation - Family Resources Centre Development – Public comments invited

October 2, 2026 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Family Resources Centre Development, located in Wasauksing First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The proposed project

Wasauksing First Nation is proposing the construction of a new Child and Family Resource Centre, to provide services to the youth and family of Wasauksing First Nation. Physical activities include clearing of trees, grubbing, and service installations. The total footprint of the project site is 909.5 square meters (m2).
