Pheasant Rump Nakota First Nation – New Multi-use Pathways for Active Transportation

September 24, 2026 – Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada (HICC) must determine whether the Project, proposed by Pheasant Rump Nakota First Nation, taking place near Kisbey, Saskatchewan, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

 

To help inform this determination, HICC is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments will be considered public. The Proposed Project

Pheasant Rump Nakota First Nation in Saskatchewan is proposing to construct new paved and gravel multi-use pathways to enhance connectivity and community well-being. The pathways will link the core neighborhood to key services on reserve. This project involves expanding and transforming the current active transportation facilities into a safer and more comprehensive network.

The Project will take place on the Nation's reserve land (Pheasant Rump Nakota Indian Reserve No. 68D). The Project has requirements under section 82 of the Impact Assessment Act (IAA).
