Notice of intent to make a determination

Mînî Thnî Subdivision Phase 1 – Public Comments Invited

September 2, 2026 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the Mînî Thnî Subdivision Phase 1 Project located on Stoney Nakoda reserve lands is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

Bearspaw First Nation is proposing to develop a new residential subdivision in the community of Mînî Thnî. The first phase of the proposed subdivision project will include the construction of 18 single family homes, installation of underground utilities, paving  access roads, and construction of a berm on the east side to provide a visual barrier.
