The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project. Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Edmonton will be receiving 2000+ additional troops over the coming years and there is a deficit of office space, which will need to be met in spring of 2027. Infrastructure required to accommodate the 250-personnel modular office space has an estimated total gross interior floor area of 6,000 m2 and an exterior space of 9,000 m2 for parking and storage. The site is currently landscaped and mowed regularly during the growing season so there's no habitat for species at risk.
