ATCO Pipeline 1165 - Ext (60 PE) Kainai Administration Building – Public Comments Invited

August 18, 2026 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the ATCO Pipeline 1165 - Ext (60 PE) Kainai Administration Building Project located on Blood Tribe reserve lands is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

ATCO Gas and Pipelines Ltd. is planning to install 100 meters of 60 millimeter diameter polyethylene gas main and 65 meters of 42 millimeter gas service line at Blood Tribe. The new distribution gas main will accommodate a proposed new administration building in Standoff.
