ATCO Pipeline 1165 - Ext (6c) Kainai Community Subdivision – Public Comments Invited

August 18, 2026 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the ATCO Pipeline 1165 - Ext (6c) Kainai Community Subdivision Project located on Blood Tribe reserve lands is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

ATCO Gas and Pipelines Ltd. is planning to install 830 meters of 60 millimeter diameter polyethylene gas main and six short 42 millimeter gas services at Blood Tribe on previously cleared lands. The new distribution gas main will accommodate a proposed commercial subdivision on the eastern edge of Standoff.
