St. Mary's Subdivision Development Parcel C

August 14, 2026 - Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed project St. Mary's Subdivision Development Parcel C, located in St. Mary's First Nation, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

Sitansisk is experience a housing shortage and have conducted a feasibility study examining potential properties suitable for future housing development. Sitansisk is proceeding with plans to construct a housing development for up to 30 lots on approximately 3 hectares of land.  Activities include clearing, grubbing, and grading of the development area, new roadways, ditches, water and wastewater services and stormwater ponds to manage storm water.
