Notice of updated decision statement

Ottawa — August 12, 2026 — The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) has published an administrative update to the decision statement for the Cedar LNG Project to reflect the increase in liquefaction capacity from 400 to 500 million standard cubic feet per day of natural gas and the provision of accommodation for up to 80 workers on the floating LNG facility in the project description. This change in the project would create negligible physical changes to the environment.

To ensure that the existing conditions in the decision statement continue to apply to the proposed changes, the project description (Schedule 1) has been updated. Additionally, IAAC proposes an update to the air quality follow-up program (condition 8.5) to ensure consistency with the amended British Columbia Environmental Assessment Certificate and to address a typo in condition numbering in condition 2.13.
