Notice of updated decision statement

Ottawa — August 10, 2026 — The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) has published an administrative update to the decision statement for the Roberts Bank Terminal 2 Project to clarify the mitigation measures in conditions 7.5 and 7.10.2.1 and to better reflect the original intent of those conditions.

The changes to condition 7.5 clarify that the mitigation measure is intended to apply to in-water impact pile driving activities and specify 10 metres as the distance at which noise monitoring is to be conducted.

The changes to condition 7.10.2.1 clarify that the hydroacoustic monitoring requirements apply only to periods when eulachon are present, specifically prior to and during dredging activities in April.
