Correction to the length of the road portion located on the Marten Falls First Nation reserve

The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) is hereby transmitting a correction from the proponent of the Marten Falls Community Access Road Project (the project), regarding the length of the portion of the road that would be constructed and operated, including maintenance, on federal lands, namely on the Marten Falls First Nation reserve.

On July 28, 2026, the proponent informed IAAC and the Government of Ontario that, due to a typing mistake in the Impact Statement, the length of the road located on the Marten Falls First Nation reserve should be corrected from eight kilometres to four kilometres (i.e., in Table 7-1 on page 83 and in Section 15.1 on page 1770 of the Impact Statement). The proponent confirmed that the information and studies provided throughout the Impact Statement, including geospatial information, were based on four kilometres of the road on Marten Falls First Nation reserve.

IAAC therefore understands that about four kilometres of the project's approximately 184-kilometre road would be constructed and operated on the Marten Falls First Nation reserve.

IAAC has validated this correction with the proponent.
