The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project. Primary work will focus on foundation replacement for existing structures due to water degradation of structural guy foundations and replacement of temporary anchorage put in place in 2023. The anchor point replacement will begin with the antenna curtains being lowered to the ground; then work will proceed with the dismantling of one tower at a time and the release of each of the three anchor points associated with that particular tower, the first frame of the tower will remain in place. The existing anchor points will be excavated, old concrete removed and new concrete foundations formed and poured. The blocks for the temporary anchor points will be disassembled and stored on site.
