The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project. Real Property Operations proposes renovating Building M-202, located at Army Training Center – Central (ATC-C) Meaford to address deficiencies and to allow for continued use of this facility. The project will include mechanical upgrades, such as removal of old boiler and installation of new boiler, heat pump and split Air Conditioning units, architectural upgrades, such as exterior repairs, new interior flooring, painting, new countertops and attic hatches, as well as electrical upgrades, such as new light fixtures, fire alarms, Carbon dioxide (CO2) detectors, and new electrical panel. Lastly, the proposed project will include the excavation of a trench for the installation of an underground electrical feeder line measuring approximately 125m in length which will be connected to building M-203. Any excess fill will be managed in accordance with federal and provincial requirements, with an intent to re-use in the trenches.
