Bearskin Lake First Nation - Micro Subdivision Development – Public comments invited
August 11, 2026 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Micro Subdivision, located in Bearskin Lake First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The proposed project
Bearskin Lake First Nation is proposing the development of a micro subdivision. It will involve tree clearing, grubbing, grading construction of a 100 meter road access, service installations and extensions, and construction of the 18-lots. Each lot will have a footprint of approximately 500-700 meter squared (m2).
