YVR North Construction Yards – Public Comments Invited

July 3, 2026 – The Vancouver Airport Authority must determine whether the proposed YVR North Construction Yards project, located at Vancouver International Airport is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, the Vancouver Airport Authority is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

The proposed YVR North Construction Yards project will involve clearing of vegetation and setup of level staging areas to stockpile soil, sort construction materials and park construction equipment. Site preparation will include vegetation clearing, removal of soil, grading, excavation, placement of gravel, construction of access driveways and installation of fencing and signage.

 

Operation of the construction yards will involve construction equipment parking and operation, soil import, soil sorting, soil placement, bulk aggregate storage, grading, excavation and site restoration.
