Sanitary Sewer Repairs - Phase 2 – Public Comments Invited

July 3, 2026 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Sanitary Sewer Repairs – Phase 2, located in Timiskaming is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, the authority is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

This project to repair the sanitary sewer system in Timiskaming consists of several components. 

- Installation of a storm-water system to carry away stormwater runoff and water from building foundation drains;

- Reconstruction of existing streets to address current issues with inadequate surface drainage in the community;

- Construction of a new storm-water outfall that will discharge into the stream on the other side of Stranger Road.
