DND New Gravel Parking Pad – Public Comments Invited

July 16, 2026 – The authorities must determine whether the proposed DND New Gravel Parking Pad, located at 3701 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, the authorities are inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

The scope of work will consist of building a 43 meter by 30 meter (approximately) gravel pad. This would involve excavating 18 inches of topsoil, installing a Geotech fabric layer, placing 12 inches of granular B topped with 6 inches of granular, and then compacted.
