The Proposed Project

Tataskweyak Cree Nation in northern Manitoba is proposing to expand the community landfill. This expansion is a critical infrastructure project, as the existing landfill has reached capacity and can no longer adequately serve the community's needs.

The Project will require vegetation clearing and excavation next to the existing landfill. The Project will take place on reserve land (Split Lake No.171) which is home to Tataskweyak Cree Nation. The Project has requirements under section 82 of the Impact Assessment Act (IAA).
