The proposed project

As part of Canada's National Shipbuilding Strategy, Seaspan's Vancouver Shipyards (VSY) hasbeen commissioned to construct and launch a variety of vessels within the Vancouver Shipyards site inNorth Vancouver, BC, located on the Northshore of Burrard Inlet's Inner Harbour.

Given the space constraints within the VSY basin and in the shipyard, VSY proposes to install approximately 10 monopiles with diameters in the range of 914 mm to 1219 mm (the "Project") to enable the temporary mooring of "store" barges near the final outfitting stages of vessel construction and the shipyard. Six (6) piles will be located along the west side of the pier and four (4) piles along the east side of the pier.
