The Proposed Project

Lot MK.13 at the Calgary International Airport currently houses a 1960's two-storey 7200 sqft. Building T042 (old Fire Hall 27) that is slated for demolition. The project will disconnect, decommission, cap, mark, and where necessary, remove all utilities including electricity, gas, sanitary, and water lines at the closest t-junction / manhole / junction box adjacent to the building within the property line and remove and dispose of the existing building, including any hazardous materials, as well as all structures above-grade, any and all below-grade footings, foundations, slabs and all waste.  The residual area will be backfilled to provide a safe, flat, level surface at-grade and make good capping to match area outside building footprint on both sides of primary security line (PSL). New PSL fencing will be installed to maintain secure air-side operations. No further improvements or uses of the land are planned for under this project.
