Tsuu T'ina, AB – [January 19, 2026] – IOGC has determined that the Proposed Pipeline from 03-15 to 14-10-043-10W5  is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects

This determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:

  • impacts on rights of Indigenous peoples;
  • Indigenous knowledge;
  • community knowledge;
  • comments received from the public; and
  • technically and economically feasible mitigation measures.

Mitigation measures taken into account for this determination are:

  • The new pipeline Right of Way will parallel an existing pipeline Right of Way. An existing access road, associated with each of the two existing Pad Sites, will be utilized to access the site.
  • Clearing and grubbing will be conducted outside the bird nesting period, to protect migratory birds and their nests.

IOGC is satisfied that carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects after implementation of the above mentioned mitigation measures.

Therefore, IOGC may exercise any power to allow the project to proceed in whole or in part.
